Who doesn't like an award!? I do I do!! I think the last award I received was back in jr high when I managed to make my way through a gymnastics routine after a very unfortunate embarrassing moment on the uneven bars. Let's just say I was very nervous and my stomach was upset. Upset stomach met uneven bar when my bottom smacked right dab into the lower bar and the unthinkable happened. Right in front of all the judges and competitors. That's a another post.....breaking out into a cold sweat just thinking about it.
Amo from Where a Woman Shakes her Tablecloth has given me the "Over The Top" Award!!
Can't say enough about this fellow blogger. You have got to check out her blog. She writes as if she is having a conversation with you. Like if you were sitting down at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee. Very candid, honest, funny and real. Most of all, so relateable.

Thanks for the sweet comments about my blog! I feel the same way about yours, which is why I wanted to give you the award! Wish I could give you much, much more!
ReplyDeleteBtw, I think your gymnastics experience was as good as mine. I was a horrid gymnist, no talent whatsoever. I was in a couple of meets and in EVERY event I got last place. Floor routine? Last. Balance beam? Last. Bars? Last. That horsey thing that you jump over? Dead last. I always left class with a headache. Yuck!! I was more of a sit still and read books or play the piano type of child. The exact opposite of my sister!
ReplyDeleteToo funny Amo. I wish I could find some old pics of me in my gymnastics uniform. It was terrible. I was the worst one on the team. Granted there was only 2 of us, but still. Seriously, the Coach allowed me on the team only because I had a good attitude and a willingness to learn. Who knew I also had a willingness to make a fool of myself!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I look forward to doing the questions myself! I really appreciate you thinking of me when giving out the award!
ReplyDeleteYeah...my first shout out! This is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI too took gymnastics. Unfortunately I never got past the cartwheel (I didn't have the stomach muscles) or at least that is what I told myself and my coach. So while the rest of the team was cart wheeling all over the mat at our recital, I was the bowling ball in the back line performing somersault after somersault.
THANK YOU!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I will post something as soon as I can........They just opened a Sonic close by, and every time we drive by, the place is so packed.....cars lined up on the highway....
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to check it out.........
First off, I've got you all beat on the gymnastics. Ever see a 250 pound man do rhthymic gymnastics? that's right, in college that's what I had to do. And it was awesome. Second, thanks for the loving, will return the favor.
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteThanks for following my blog and congrats on your award. I hope the incident on the uneven bars was nothing more than gas, you poor thing! At least you survived to tell the tale ;)
Michelle,
ReplyDeleteGood for you for doing gymnastics! I did ballet when I was little. Dancing around with a teddybear, in a little yellow tutu! I can still do the little foot move;) Funny what we remember! If it makes you feel any better, I fell *up* the stairs in high school, books, bag and all! I'm talented;)
Congrats on the award! Your blog is awesome! :)
